“ I absolutely love coming here on nights where I need something on the go or just looking for some quality fast food!! Taking the drive is always worth it!! “ I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience at Char Grill in Clayton, NC. It's fast food, but the quality was much better than I was expecting. The burgers are flame broiled and were still moist and warm when we received our meals. The fries were hot and stayed that way by eating them out of the bag the bag. The staff were friendly and the food came out quickly. We were there on Wednesday 1/8/2025 at 5:45 PM and the place was clean and I'd guess that half of the tables were occupied. Oldies Rock music from the 1960's was played at a volume that allowed for conversation without raising our voices. I'm always on the hunt for the next 'best local hamburger'. Char Grill is my new current favorite. Congratulations! ”

“ This one of my favorite hamburger places to eat. This was the first time eating at the Clayton location. Staff was very friendly, and service was very good. We were here mid-afternoon so they were not very busy. I had a 1/2 lb. hamburger steak sandwich combo with cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, and some salt and pepper. The combo came with fries and a drink. Cost was about 10.50. As usual Char-Grill did not disappoint. ”
“ Visited the Char Grill in Clayton for the first time tonight. Was very pleasantly surprised. The food was made to order (not sitting under a warmer) and was hot, fresh and very tasty. Definitely worth the money and not much more expensive than McDonald's or Burger King, but over and above much better quality. ”
“ I’m a California resident and love my burgers. That being said, I wanted to try the best burger in the east and when visiting Clayton I came across Char Grill and decided to try it out. I don’t think I’ve scarfed a burger down so fast in my life. If I wasn’t careful, I would have lost fingers. You could literally taste the freshness with every bite. On top of that, the staff was extremely friendly (and patient) with me. Everything on the menu looked enticing and delicious. I actually ended up coming back here the next day with my wife and daughter and they equally enjoyed it. Southern hospitality really shines here and it made the whole experience more enjoyable. I don’t usually write reviews but this place had THAT kind of an impact. Whatever you guys are doing and whatever ingredients you’re using, please keep it up. It’s business ethics like this that keep us coming back. I will be thinking about Char Grill the entire way back home. See you guys next time I’m in town. ”

“ This location has indoor high tables, booths, and tables. Also, they have outdoor tables with umbrellas. You can order at the window or on the traditional order slips. The service was great, super friendly, and fun. The food is fresh and fast with the classical taste that never ages. The red hotdogs are the staple. The fries are crispy and hot. ”
